Who we are
ThanksAdd is a Shopify app made by Keep Rising. This page is the public privacy notice for the app. Questions: keeptherise@gmail.com.
What ThanksAdd does
ThanksAdd shows one extra product on a merchant’s Shopify Thank You page and Order Status page. If a shopper taps Add this, a new Shopify checkout opens. The shopper is not charged until they finish that second checkout. ThanksAdd is not 1-click. It does not add the extra item to the order just placed.
What we collect
We store the shop data needed to run the offer:
- Shop domain
- Chosen product and variant ids
- Offer settings (catalog title, image URL, price, optional discount code, and whether the offer is on)
The app requests the read_products Admin API scope only. Offer settings are saved on the shop (an app-owned metafield when available, or a local fallback before the app is fully linked).
We also receive standard Shopify app events needed to install, uninstall, and keep the app running (for example shop domain on install or uninstall).
What we do not collect
- Customer names, emails, addresses, or phone numbers
- Order contents, payment methods, or payment card details
- Customer lists for sale or marketing
We do not sell customer lists. We do not run review gating (no “review to unlock a discount” or similar).
We do not request order or customer personal-data scopes. We aim to stay out of Shopify protected customer data.
How Shopify processes payments
Add this opens a normal Shopify checkout for the offered product. Shopify — not ThanksAdd — collects checkout details and processes payment if the shopper completes that checkout. We do not store payment information. Merchant billing for the app, if any, is handled through Shopify App Pricing.
GDPR and compliance webhooks
ThanksAdd listens for Shopify’s mandatory compliance webhooks:
customers/data_request— we acknowledge the request. In this version we do not store customer personal data, so there is usually nothing for us to export.customers/redact— we acknowledge the request. There is usually nothing for us to delete about that customer.shop/redact— after uninstall, we clear the shop’s stored offer settings when Shopify sends this webhook.
If you are a shopper and want data about an order, contact the merchant. They hold the order. If you are a merchant and want us to review what we hold for your shop, email keeptherise@gmail.com.
Cookies
This privacy page does not set its own cookies. Inside Shopify Admin, the embedded app may use cookies or storage that Shopify’s admin embed requires. We do not use extra analytics or advertising cookies.
Hosting
This notice is served over HTTPS (Cloudflare). The app itself runs on the merchant’s Shopify store and our app host.
